WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GRANITE, MARBLE & QUARTZ?

Granite is a natural stone and is one of the most durable natural stone surfaces available. Marble is more of a soft natural stone, which makes it very porous. With these factors, the counters are more susceptible to scratch and stain easy. We don’t recommend marble in high usage areas. Quartz is a very durable man-made surface, with mixing 90% ground-quartz and 10% resins, polymers & pigments.

Yes, you may find pits and fissures, but this is the beauty of natural stone and all the differences and variations you find in each slab.

Yes, but it will dull your knives very quickly. Also, if you have marble tops, it can scratch your counters.

CAN YOU PLACE HOT POTS AND PANS ON YOUR GRANITE COUNTERTOPS?

Yes, granite can withstand high heat temperatures. But, we still recommend to always protect your tops and use a trivet – this way your tops look beautiful for many years to come.
